‘The Game’ by Ken Dryden, offers a unique point of view into the life of a celebrity. The general image of a celebrity is intelligent, articulate, and thoughtful; however, these characteristics are general embellished. Dryden states, “For the image I’m selling is your image of me” and is implying that the way he is viewed is doctored for the benefit of being adored by the public. He goes on to say, “If I don’t like my image I can do something about it” this also reveals how the image of a celebrity can be altered depending on the public’s response. Ultimately Dryden reveals that often our view of celebrities is fabricated and they are just average people.
